Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed or eligible behavioral health professional to join an inpatient team. The role focuses on assessment, psychotherapy, and discharge planning across adult to geriatric units.

The position requires a Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or counseling, with LCPC or LCSW licensure, and CPI training within 3 months. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure smooth transitions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or counseling is required.
• Licensure as LCPC or LCSW (IDFPR) is required or eligible.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) training within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family counseling to support treatment goals.
• Deliver individual counseling per treatment plan and at least one group therapy weekly.
• Involve families in treatment at least twice weekly and support discharge planning.
• Facilitate family counseling per treatment plan for adult/geriatric units.
• Apply CBT and brief therapies as appropriate and document in DAIR format.
• Assist with milieu management, admissions, and intakes when census is low.
• Coordinate with the treatment team and community providers on the treatment plan and referrals.
• Participate in staffing meetings and discharge planning discussions.
