Job summary

Nationwide-Children seeks a behavioral intervention specialist to assess and address the behavioral and emotional needs of patients in an inpatient psychiatric unit. The role develops individualized plans and trains teams to implement established teaching procedures.

We require a Master’s in psychology or related field, with BCBA preferred, and two years of direct experience with disruptive behavior or developmental disabilities. Evening shifts available, with part-time FTE options.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology or related field required or completed within 1 year.
• BCBA certification preferred.
• Two years of direct experience with disruptive behavior disorders or intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' behavioral and emotional needs.
• Develop and implement individualized behavioral intervention service plans.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Train and coach the treatment team to implement teaching procedures.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Perform data collection and analysis for patient plans and site procedures.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
