Rhode Island Hospital seeks an experienced Art Therapist/Expressive Arts Therapist to deliver treatment using art therapy and CBT-based interventions for a diverse patient population. You will work with the rehabilitation team to set goals, monitor progress, and document outcomes while educating patients and families about the therapeutic process.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy.
• ATR or REAT certification with current Rhode Island LMHC license.
• Two years of relevant inpatient experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Evaluates patients, establishes treatment goals/outcomes, and implements patient care plans.
• Communicates with physicians, nurses, social workers, and the interdisciplinary team about patient status and recommendations.
• Documents in LifeChart and maintains patient confidentiality.
• Uses art psychotherapy techniques (including CBT) to meet goals and maintains a safe learning environment.
• Provides Art Therapy supervision to undergraduate and graduate students and monitors progress.
• Demonstrates competency as determined by supervisors or clinical leadership.
• Participates in department and hospital in-services and pursues CEUs to meet credentialing boards.
• Educates patients, caregivers and families about therapy progress and role of art therapy.
• Reviews and reassesses materials and equipment; maintains supplies.
• Oversees hospital art gallery displays.
• Develops community partnerships for Healing Arts Program.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
