University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center's Colon & Rectal Surgical Oncology team seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA) to join an inpatient, high-volume setting in a collaborative, team-based model. The ideal candidate can practice autonomously with strong clinical skills and a focus on patient care.

The role requires BON/TSBPAE licensure and an ARC-PA accredited PA program, with a salary range of $117,500 to $176,500 and comprehensive benefits for onsite work in Houston, TX.

Qualifications

• Preferred inpatient experience and ability to work autonomously within a team.
• PACT program and licensure requirements as specified by BON/TSBPAE.
• ARC-PA accreditation requirement for PA program (except for pre-2013 grads).
• Master’s degree in PA program from an ARC-PA accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patient care as integral member of interdisciplinary team.
• Round on all first assist cases and follow up on issues on the floor.
• Obtain histories, perform exams, and review tests to form management plans.
• Order consultations, diagnostic testing, and procedures as indicated.
• Educate patients and families and ensure timely handoffs and communication.
