Job summary

Avera Addiction Care Center-Sioux Falls is seeking an Admissions Specialist to warmly guide individuals and families through intake, screening and verification for addiction treatment. This role requires empathy, organization, and coordination with clinical and billing teams.

You will handle inquiries, conduct pre-admission screenings, manage logistics, and document interactions in our EHR/CRM systems, contributing to smooth admissions and strong referral networks.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating intake, screening and verification for addiction treatment.
• Ability to document communications and lead status in EHR/CRM systems.
• Knowledge of ASAM criteria and insurance verification processes.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries via calls, forms and chat to convert to admissions.
• Conduct initial screenings to assess fit for care and insurance benefits.
• Coordinate admission dates, transportation and intake documentation.
• Maintain relationships with referral sources and community partners.
• Complete pre-certifications and ongoing reviews for levels of care.
