Job summary

Avera Addiction Care Center-Sioux Falls is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care within a multidisciplinary team. You will develop care plans, coordinate with physicians, and support patients and families through illness and recovery.

We value compassion and teamwork. The role includes rotating days/evenings/nights and holidays, ensuring safe patient care, documentation, and adherence to regulatory standards. An active RN license is required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work the hours specified and perform essential job functions.
• Requires RN license in state of practice and active license upon hire.
• Visual acuity and ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to comply with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the nursing care plan.
• Develops nursing care plans by documenting patient condition and nursing diagnoses.
• Teaches patients and families to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills.
• Evaluates patient care by adhering to standards and re-evaluating plans as needed.
• Maintains safe patient care environment by following infection-control and regulatory policies.
• Documents patient care services by charting in records.
• Keeps equipment and supplies ready and maintained; orders as needed.
• Maintains competence in nursing capabilities outlined by leadership.
