MaineGeneral Health System is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide comprehensive physical therapy services in our Augusta, ME area. The role focuses on developing, recovering, and maintaining patient mobility and function within an assigned service area.

The PT will perform assessments, implement treatment plans, document progress, educate patients and families, and participate in discharge planning. Supervisory responsibilities for PT assistants are included where allowed by law.

Job Summary:

Provides physical therapy services to patients needing to develop, recover, and maintain physical mobility/function within an assigned area.

Job Description:

Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient’s condition.

Implements the treatment plan using appropriate modalities. Documents subjective, objective, and assessment findings and plans patient progress.

Educates and counsels the patient and family/caregiver. Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting. Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.

Supervises and delegates the care provided by physical therapy assistants according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards.

Some employees in this job may operate a motor vehicle to conduct MaineGeneral Health business.

The salary range shown reflects the base salary for this position. Individual compensation is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations.
