MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta, ME seeks a licensed physical therapist to provide services to patients developing, recovering, and maintaining mobility.
Responsibilities include initial and ongoing assessments, implementing treatment plans, documenting findings, educating patients and families, planning discharge, and guiding use of adaptive equipment. Supervision of PT assistants and possible driving responsibilities may also apply.
Provides physical therapy services to patients needing to develop, recover, and maintain physical mobility/function within an assigned area.
Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition. Implements the treatment plan using appropriate modalities. Documents subjective, objective, and assessment findings and plans patient progress. Educates and counsels the patient and family/caregiver. Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting. Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs. Supervises and delegates the care provided by physical therapy assistants according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards. Some employees in this job may operate a motor vehicle to conduct MaineGeneral Health business.
The salary range shown reflects the base salary for this position. Individual compensation is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations.
