Fresenius Kidney Care Indy North Acutes in Northern Indianapolis, IN is hiring a Registered Nurse Inpatient Services as part of the CAP program. Full-Time 36-40 hours, rotating shifts; paid dialysis training provided; coverage for area hospitals.

As an entry-level CAP RN, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, coordinate with the care team, and ensure safe transfusions and medications under supervision.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state nursing licensure.
• CPR/BLS certification current.
• Must meet practice requirements in all states of employment.
• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years in Nephrology Nursing (RN).
• Minimum 9 months RN experience; 12 months preferred.
• 6 months acute dialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential nursing functions under supervision.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during dialysis and documents in the medical record.
• Assesses patient learning needs and provides education to patients and families.
• Directs safe patient care and collaborates with healthcare team.
• Coordinates communication with dialysis providers and facility personnel.
• Administers medications as prescribed and monitors responses.
• Participates in training and orientation of new staff.
