Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center Acute Care Rehabilitation Team is seeking an occupational therapist to join a collaborative inpatient acute care program at Carolinas Medical Center, a flagship Level I Trauma Center.

The OT will work with a multidisciplinary team to restore function and promote safe discharge planning for medically complex patients across trauma, neurology, oncology, cardiac, and critical care services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy program required.
• Applicable state license for Occupational Therapy required.
• One (1) year experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct OT services to patients in acute care settings, seven days a week including holidays.
• Evaluates patients and develops appropriate care plans and treatment modalities.
• Supervises OT Assistant, OT Tech, students and volunteers.
• Documents evaluations, progress notes, and discharge planning to support patient care.
