Job summary

Advocate Health's Carolinas Medical Center - Physical Therapy is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the Acute Care Rehabilitation team in a fast-paced hospital setting in Charlotte, NC. This part-time, per diem role offers opportunities to work with a diverse patient population across medical needs and coordinate safe transitions of care.

The OT will supervise staff, develop patient-centric care plans, and provide family education while documenting progress and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in OT from an accredited program.
• Applicable state OT license and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises OT staff, assistants, students and volunteers.
• Evaluates patients and develops care plans with modalities and education.
• Gathers data from medical records and coordinates devices as needed.
• Documents evaluations, tests, progress notes, discharge notes and charges.
• Communicates progress to physicians and coordinates schedule and discharge planning.
