Job summary

Montgomery-Public-Schools is seeking a Science Teacher to educate students at various locations under a 9-month (187 days) schedule. The role reports to the Principal and offers a salary within the certified schedule 16 (Level 1-4), from $49,080 to $93,875, depending on degree level recognized by ALSDE.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree or higher and a valid Alabama Teaching Certificate with ESSA compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
A valid Alabama Teacher's Certificate.
Must meet Every Student Succeed Act (ESSA) federal and state requirements or a willingness to meet the requirements.

Responsibilities

Utilize technology to plan and provide instruction and facilitate student learning.
Model appropriate and innovative use of technology for students.
Facilitate and monitor the integration of technology in the classroom.
Provide modifications for students with special needs, including exceptional education students and students who have limited proficiency in English as required.
Select, develop, modify and/or adapt materials and resources which support learning objectives and address students' varying learning styles and backgrounds.
Establish routines and uses appropriate behavior management procedures.
Participate in administration of local and state testing as assigned.
Use formative and summative assessment to monitor student progress; interprets and uses data for instructional planning and program evaluation.
