Job summary

PCI is seeking a Package Designer II to support development and launch of new packaging and optimize existing designs. You will engage with customers, coordinate with vendors, and manage R&D and prototyping in the Design Lab, applying CAD tools and hands-on assembly skills.

The role includes creating sketches and 3D renderings, preparing design solutions for PCI clients to support sales, and mentoring junior designers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent
• Advanced CAD-based design software training (SolidWorks, ArtiosCAD)
• Experience with drug-delivery packaging and specialized packaging
• thermoforming design/manufacturing knowledge
• Familiarity with project management tools and status communication

Responsibilities

• Designs and assembles primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging to meet customer requirements
• Creates sketches, 3D renderings and visual presentations of packaging concepts
• Communicates ideas and improvements to customers and internal teams via digital presentations
• Creates and modifies packaging drawings using CAD platforms with minimal supervision
• Performs prototyping in on-site Lab and supports Design Services projects
