Job summary

Green Bay Packaging is seeking a Packaging Designer to design and develop innovative packaging solutions that improve performance and reduce costs. You will work closely with customers, sales, operations, and suppliers to test, refine, and implement packaging designs while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

You will produce prototypes, conduct site visits for audits, and coordinate with tooling suppliers to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Packaging, Mechanical Design, Architectural Design, or Prototype & Design.
• Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills with internal and external customers.
• In-depth knowledge of CAD tools: Artios CAD, Cape Pack, Adobe Creative Suite, TOPPS; familiarity with CAD tables.
• Familiarity with paperboard stocks, board grades, corrugation, and printing processes.
• Experience operating sample cutting tables.
• Strong cognitive and mathematical skills; able to visualize concepts in 3D.
• Detail-oriented; capable of independent work and teamwork.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new packaging; revise existing packaging for cost reduction and performance gains.
• Produce samples and prototypes using CAD tables and transmit specifications as needed.
• Enhance packaging with innovative solutions; perform customer site visits and packaging audits.
• Coordinate with tooling suppliers to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Travel with sales reps to customer locations as needed.
• Build strong internal relationships to support quick, accurate responses to customers, sales, and operations.
