Job summary

Menasha Corporation's ORBIS Northwood Design Center in Greenville, SC is seeking a Custom Packaging Design Engineer Co-Op for Fall 2027. You will assist with packaging designs and prototypes based on customer specs, learn materials and manufacturing processes, and gain proficiency in SolidWorks.

The role runs June 2027 through December 2027, on-site, with exposure to design reviews, cost-effective manufacturable designs, and prototype fabrication for customer approval.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a technical or bachelor’s degree in Plastic Engineering Technology, Packaging Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of plastic processing and packaging engineering.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and create/interpret designs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with creation of packaging designs and prototypes from customer specs.
• Learn materials and manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability.
• Support design team from concept through execution and prototyping.
• Ensure designs meet customer specifications with technical judgment.
• Fabricate prototypes to validate design quality before manufacturing.
