Job summary

LUBBOCK INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a qualified Teacher for the PreK-12 division under a 10-month contract with Exempt status. The position reports to the Principal and uses the Teacher Salary Schedule for compensation.

The successful candidate will provide engaging instruction, manage classrooms, assess student growth, and collaborate with staff to support district goals. A Bachelor's degree and a Texas teaching certificate are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum.
• Provide instruction accommodating diverse learning styles.
• Assess student learning and track progress.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEP guidelines.
• Establish and maintain a productive classroom environment.
• Communicate with parents and staff regarding student progress.
