Job summary

Lubbock Independent School District in Texas seeks a full-time Teacher under a 10-month contract (Exempt) to join the PreK–12 department. This position reports to the Principal and follows the district salary schedule.

The successful candidate will plan and deliver standards-based lessons, adapt instruction for diverse learners, assess student progress, and collaborate with colleagues to support school goals. Strong communication with families is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or required training for subject/level.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to the district curriculum.
• Plan and use strategies reflecting diverse learning styles.
• Assess student learning and document progress.
• Collaborate with special education to modify curricula per IEP.
• Use technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Establish and maintain open communication with parents, students, and staff.
• Supervise teacher aides and volunteers.
