Job summary

Northeast Academy for Aerospace and Advanced Technologies is a public regional STEM school seeking teachers to deliver rigorous, project-based instruction for middle and high school students in a collaborative environment.

Teachers will foster critical thinking and problem-solving, integrate technology, and support students toward college, career, and life readiness. The role includes onsite coaching, strong expectations, and a focus on underrepresented student groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required, Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of three years teaching experience at middle or high school level.
• NC Professional Educator’s License preferred, eligible to obtain within 3 years.
• Commitment to serving first-generation college-goers and underrepresented students in STEM.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver rigorous engaging lessons aligned to student needs.
• Use project-based instruction to involve all students.
• Develop students' critical thinking, problem solving, and collaboration skills.
• Integrate technology to maximize learning.
• Assess student progress and support college and career goals.
• Communicate with students, parents, and colleagues regularly.
• Collaborate with team to support school improvement.
