Brilla Schools in the Bronx seeks a dedicated 6th Grade Humanities Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. You will design rigorous, classically inspired lessons, and work with colleagues to foster a culture of virtue and academic growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Current teaching certification for Middle School and/or Content (strongly preferred).
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Spanish language proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver 6th grade humanities lessons with a focus on rigorous, classically-inspired pedagogy.
• Establish a structured, welcoming classroom culture to support scholars’ virtue and mastery.
• Use data-informed decisions to guide instruction and student progress toward mastery.
• Collaborate with content and grade-level teachers, and engage families to support student outcomes.
• Develop meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues to inspire love of learning and academic success.
