Job summary

DEDC LLC in Newark, DE, seeks Mechanical Engineers to translate requirements into practical, reliable designs and to collaborate with project stakeholders. We will consider engineers at any experience level.

Roles focus on design drawings, calculations, and construction support, with travel to project sites as needed. The position is based in Newark, DE, with a target salary range of $120,000 to $140,000, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years mechanical engineering experience with clients in Higher Ed, Pharmaceutical, Biopharma & Biotech, and related sectors.
• Experience in a consulting engineering firm preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit software.
• Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Solid understanding of building and life safety codes.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication with clients, partners, vendors, and peers.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; willing to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design and draw specifications for bidding and construction.
• Develop scope, perform engineering calculations and analyses.
• Select and specify equipment.
• Develop conceptual and detailed electrical designs, schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate to develop construction drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, project teams, and suppliers.
• Support design reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Ensure designs meet codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Maintain records and communicate design decisions and updates.
