Job summary

ALLY Entertainment in Chicago seeks an industrial design/ME engineer with strong CAD skills to bridge our creative studio and the factory floor. You’ll finalize designs for 3D printing and precision metals, while exploring value engineering and coordinating manufacturing partners.

You’ll collaborate across teams, help map production roadmaps, and support the scaling of prototypes into a funded, high‑quality product line with potential equity upside.

Qualifications

• Background in Industrial Design or Mechanical Engineering with CAD proficiency.
• Experience integrating 3D printing and precision metals.
• Familiarity with BOM management and value engineering.
• Interest in arts, maker community and fashion-forward market.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on design for 3D printing and metal fabrication, providing a fresh perspective on Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
• Value engineering to optimize materials and processes for scale without sacrificing premium aesthetics.
• Vendor management: identify, vet, and manage manufacturing partners locally and overseas.
• Transition prototypes to production: map a manufacturing roadmap to produce at scale.
