Job summary

Skechers, the Comfort Technology Company®, is seeking a Footwear Designer in Southern California to shape the next generation of Skechers footwear. You will translate fashion trends, market conditions and consumer expectations into innovative, affordable designs while collaborating with marketing and sales to maximize market appeal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in footwear, fashion, or graphic design.
• 4–6 years of progressive footwear design experience.
• Understanding of footwear production processes and materials.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative and affordable footwear design concepts.
• Collaborate with design management, development and marketing to build product to target cost.
• Understand fashion trends through travel, markets, tradeshows and competition.
• Create accurate CADs quickly and efficiently.
• Build and present seasonal product strategies and trend boards.
• Develop accurate tech packs for outsole and upper designs.
• Coordinate with US and Asia teams to meet line schedules and calendars.
