Job summary

Toyota Material Handling North America in Rochester, NY is seeking an Energy Solutions Test Engineer. You will design and build test equipment, develop LabVIEW-based test software, and ensure safe test setups to advance energy solutions.

You will collaborate with ESS and engineering teams to align testing with development programs, troubleshoot equipment, and support prototype builds. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in testing or validation engineering roles.
• Hands-on knowledge of data acquisition systems and test instrumentation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on data and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new test equipment.
• Develop test software (e.g., LabView).
• Set up test systems and development hardware safely.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate test equipment for high-quality data.
• Partner with engineering teams to align testing with development programs.
• Support prototype system builds and ensure on-schedule assembly.
• Identify and resolve issues with batteries and fuel cells.
• Deliver projects on time and contribute to team growth.
