Job summary

Prairie Meadows Early Learning Center - Cub Kids Preschool is seeking a Special Education Coordinator to lead delivery of services, supervise due process, and support staff. The role includes coordination of evaluations, ESY planning, and collaboration with families and education professionals.

Under the Administrator and Director of Special Education, the coordinator will oversee caseload management (no student caseload), coordinate transportation, and ensure compliance with Minnesota

Qualifications

• Current knowledge of special education law, rules, and regulations.
• Skilled in administering, scoring, and interpreting special education assessments.
• Thorough knowledge of evaluation reports, IEPs, and due process requirements.
• Ability to collaborate with parents, staff, and administrators.

Responsibilities

• Consults with staff, administration, and parents on evaluation plans and reports.
• Coordinates Assessment Team processes and conducts evaluations and interviews.
• Serves as primary contact for parents in initial evaluations.
• Oversees ESY planning and special transportation as needed.
• Reviews IEPs, timelines, and due process paperwork to support staff.
