Job summary

Abington Early Learning Center in Abington, PA is seeking passionate teachers who love nurturing great minds and connecting with our community. Full-time, hourly positions available at $17.00-$18.00 per hour to join a caring team focused on engaging, child-centered learning and fun.

Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate curricula, creating a positive early learning environment, and supporting families while upholding YMCA and state guidelines.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited college/university in education or human services
• Minimum 2 years (2500 hours) childcare experience

• Cultivating a sensitive, patient early learning environment for both children and families.
• Planning and implementing dynamic curricula to ensure fun, child-centered, and age-appropriate lessons are offered.
• Supervising each child in your care by being able to identify, SEE, HEAR, DIRECT and ASSIST, always ensuring a safe environment.
• Upholding all YMCA, State, and Quality Rating Systems policies and guidelines for overall commitment to quality in childcare.
• Maintaining a healthy environment through light cleaning and supporting personal care routines of the children.
