The Greater Philadelphia YMCA’s Abington Early Learning Center in Abington, PA is seeking an assistant teacher who loves working with kids and building community. This part-time, hourly role requires a high school diploma and childcare experience.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• 2 years (2500 hours) verified childcare experience.
• Ability to engage with children and families in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing dynamic curricula to ensure fun, child-centered, and age-appropriate lessons are offered.
• Cultivate a sensitive, patient childcare environment for both children and families.
• Maintain a healthy environment through light cleaning and supporting personal care routines of the children.
• Supervise each child in your care by being able to identify, SEE, HEAR, DIRECT and ASSIST, always ensuring a safe environment.
