• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related area.
• C Programming Language Certified Associate (CLA)
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD)
• Microsoft Technology Associate (Two areas required)
• Information Technology Specialist Exam (Two areas required)
• Oracle Certified Associate
• SAS Certified Specialist: Base Programming
• Hold a valid Alabama Professional Certificate in a teaching field and have either gone to ALSDE-approved training sessions or have passed the Computer Science Praxis

Responsibilities

• Create a computer science program and classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth
• Establish effective rapport with students
• Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good educational foundation
• Utilize technology to motivate students and prepare students for the 21st century
• Participate in school-related activities that enhance teacher, student, parent, and community relations
• Analyze different data sources in making data-driven decisions for instruction
• Establish positive relationships with students, parents, co-workers, volunteers, and other visitors
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Software Engineering

C Programming Language Certified Associate (CLA)

Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD)
