Job summary

Memphis Business Academy Hickory Hill Elementary School is seeking a full-time teacher to advance the school's mission by delivering a standards-aligned curriculum and continually improving instructional practice based on feedback.

The teacher will report to the Principal and network administrators, collaborate with the academic team, analyze student data, and participate in professional development to support student achievement and growth throughout the school year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in education or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred to support instructional leadership.
• TN licensure or eligibility to obtain Professional Educator License.
• Certification in relevant content area preferred.
• Experience in urban education and ability to drive student growth.

Responsibilities

• Create standards-aligned curriculum with maps, unit and lesson plans.
• Develop assessments (interim, midterm, final) as needed.
• Deliver engaging instruction aligned to grade-level expectations.
• Attend PLC meetings and professional development sessions.
• Provide tutoring and academic support to students as needed.
• Analyze data and use a data-tracking system to inform instruction.
• Complete administrative duties by deadlines.
