Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for initial evaluation and treatment of patients in assigned areas.
• Performs initial history and physical with documentation.
• Writes and reviews orders in accordance with hospital policy.
• Evaluates patient progress with the attending physician and adjusts treatment as needed.
• Initiates referrals to appropriate departments and documents progress.
