Charyl Stockwell Academy in the Howell/Hartland area is hiring an Academically & Intellectually Gifted Teacher to design and deliver high-level, differentiated instruction for advanced learners. The AIG Teacher will foster critical thinking and independent problem-solving while supporting social-emotional needs and collaborating with general education staff and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education; Master’s in Gifted Education preferred.
• Current State Teaching License with AIG Endorsement or active enrollment in approved program.
• Minimum 2 years classroom teaching experience.
• Strong foundation in project-based learning and STEM/STEAM integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver rigorous, inquiry-based curricula that extend grade-level standards in core subjects.
• Participate in the gifted identification process, evaluating student data, portfolios, and standardized test scores.
• Tier instruction with general education teachers; provide push-in or pull-out enrichment.
• Address the social-emotional needs of gifted learners, including perfectionism and overexcitabilities.
• Maintain partnerships with parents and multidisciplinary teams regarding student growth and personalized learning plans.
