Job summary

The City University of New York’s Hostos Community College seeks a student-centered Assistant Professor of Accounting to teach undergraduate accounting courses, develop curricula, and engage in scholarly and professional activities in service of the college mission.

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D./DBA or MBA with CPA, at least four years of relevant experience, and a commitment to teaching diverse urban learners, with a focus on accounting education, AI and data analytics in business

Qualifications

• Ph.D./DBA in Accounting or MBA with CPA license required.
• Four years of professional, industrial, or teaching experience.
• Ability to teach effectively and to cooperate with others.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory, financial, and managerial accounting.
• Participate in departmental and college service.
