The City University of New York, Baruch College, invites applications for a lecturer position in Accounting starting Fall 2027. The Stan Ross Department of Accountancy seeks candidates who will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor students, and participate in departmental service.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree with substantial professional experience or a Master's degree in accounting (CPA a plus) and demonstrate commitment to inclusive pedagogy and multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus significant professional experience or Masters degree required in accounting or a related field.
• Demonstrate an ability and commitment to deliver high-quality teaching in accounting, auditing or taxation.
• Prior professional work experience in these fields and professional certification (e.g., CPA) are a plus.
• Participate in Baruch’s “Inclusive Pedagogy” workshop and CUNY’s “Innovative Teaching Academy,” and demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching in a diverse and inclusive environment.
• Applicants must be able to teach in multiple modalities (in-person, online, hybrid) and participate in Zicklin programs offered both on campus and with our global partners.

Responsibilities

• Primarily teach undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting.
• Mentor undergraduate and master's students.
• Undertake significant service to the department.
