Job summary

Alcorn State University seeks an Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting to teach, mentor students, and advance scholarship. The role encompasses teaching, curriculum development, and engagement in ongoing research within a supportive academic environment.

The candidate will contribute to curriculum development, provide student guidance, and participate in service activities while maintaining high standards of teaching and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Doctor of Philosophy in Accounting or closely related field from an AACSB accredited school
• Minimum Experience: Five (5) teaching experience at the college or university level
• Postdoctoral experience, with strong evidence of excellence in research and teaching desired
• ABO candidates near completion considered
• Licenses/Certifications: Teacher’s License preferred
