Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years working directly within engineering teams.
• 3+ years designing or architecting scalable systems.
• Knowledge of full software/hardware/networks lifecycle, including reviews, source control, builds and ops.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the EC2 Capacity Blocks service roadmap, guiding architecture and prioritization.
• Grow and mentor an inclusive team of 8–10 engineers through design reviews and planning.
• Collaborate with EC2 capacity planning and product managers to align priorities.
• Define operational metrics and audit mechanisms to monitor health and user experience.
• Drive the technical roadmap with tradeoffs across Rust and Java services.
