Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle seeks a Principal Capacity CSM-T to lead strategic capacity engagements for AWS’s largest compute and ML customers.

You’ll define long-range capacity plans, translate forecasts into infrastructure commitments, and deliver measurable value through scalable compute. The role demands exceptional judgment, executive-level communication, and the ability to collaborate across Finance, Supply Chain, and Engineering.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a senior customer-facing role.
• 15+ years leading large IT/engineering programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or a related field.
• Experience in a senior customer-facing role.
• Experience in leading complex, large-scale IT/technical programs.
• Experience working with cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide capacity engagements across multiple units and geographies.
• Own long-range capacity and scaling plans and end-to-end delivery.
• Advise senior executives, shaping capacity, cloud, and AI strategy.
• Organize demand signals into scenarios for VP+ leaders with finance.
• Orchestrate execution across large workload portfolios for long-term value.
• Architect scaling mechanisms, cadences, and best practices for forecast accuracy.
• Influence product and roadmaps; collaborate with engineering on tooling.
• Develop and mentor team members within capacity and customer solutions.
