Epogee, a Medici Brands subsidiary, seeks an Innovation Manager in New York City to scout technologies for Medici. You will map landscapes, evaluate scientific data, and build compelling business cases addressing application fit, cost-in-use, regulatory timelines and go-to-market potential.

This role collaborates across functions to align product-market fit with consumer demand, while navigating IP and deal dynamics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years evaluating technologies or businesses in R&D, corporate development, consulting, venture, or similar roles.
• Ability to evaluate technical depth from primary literature and data behind claims.
• Commercial judgment to prioritize by application fit and potential demand.
• Fluency with IP topics: reading patents, scope, and counsel escalations.
• Venture/corporate venture or tech transfer experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology scouting and screening using landscape maps across priority domains.
• Perform technical diligence by reviewing literature, data, and designing confirmatory experiments.
• Develop defensible business cases including cost-in-use, regulatory path, and market timeline.
• Assist with partnerships, licensing terms, and investment diligence with legal and leadership.
