Job Description
About the role

This position is located in Tempe, AZ, and is required to be in-office at least 4 days per week.

The Innovation Product Manager will develop the strategic and tactical initiatives for a key product and/or market segment on a global basis. Prepare three-year strategic plans and annual marketing tactical plans projecting the direction and growth of the market, sales revenues, product lines, expenses, and profit and loss. Demonstrates leadership within the Marketing department and plays a key role in upstream product development activity, including programs pursuing FDA PMA approval pathways. The role will contribute to clinical and regulatory strategy with familiarity in IDE study design, lead development of standardized market models across the pipeline, and translate reimbursement dynamics into actionable commercial strategy.

Job Responsibilities
  • Take an active role to develop strong tactical commercial plans that support the strategic direction and grow the business
  • Build relationships with and know key customers/distributors and field sales personnel
  • Take an active role on product development teams as leader or key participant, including upstream NPD programs requiring FDA PMA approval
  • Contribute to clinical and regulatory strategy, including familiarity with IDE study design and evidence planning
  • Communicate with domestic sales force and global marketing entities (directly and through international marketing)
  • Identify and communicate market trends to division management and cross-functional team
  • Develop and implement comprehensive product marketing plans including strategic and technical components in order to meet revenue and margin targets
  • Forecast market size, sales volume, and procedural demand using robust market models and analytics
  • Develop and maintain a centralized master market model to ensure consistent assumptions across pipeline programs
  • Monitor, interpret, and apply CMS and private payer reimbursement policy to inform upstream strategy and product requirements
  • Identify reimbursement-related risks and opportunities and translate into development and commercialization strategy
  • Budget administration (promotional and expenses)
  • Profit and loss responsibility for product line where applicable
  • Identify and develop marketing programs, sales tools and promotions
  • Prepare strategic plans for product and/or market segment
  • Recommend product line modifications, extensions, new products and product deletions
  • Utilize data analytics to formulate and adapt key commercial strategies
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in product management, R&D, or strategic marketing within the medical device industry, with a strong focus on innovation/new product development.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (approximately 20-30%).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree
  • Experience supporting PMA-based product development programs and familiarity with IDE clinical study design.
  • Experience working with products and/or services related to the care of peripheral artery disease.
  • Understanding of the market and business dynamics within office-based labs and ambulatory surgery centers.
  • Strong understanding of CMS reimbursement and private payer landscape and ability to translate policy into business strategy.
  • Experience in reimbursement, market access, or roles requiring interpretation of payer or government policy
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in bringing new medical devices to market
  • Proven ability to identify unmet needs, define product requirements, and develop compelling value propositions.
  • Strong understanding of medical device regulatory pathways (e.g., FDA, CE Mark).
