Job summary

The City of Lake Forest is seeking an Innovation Coordinator to support city-wide innovation, technology implementation, business process improvement, and organizational change initiatives. This full-time role collaborates with City departments to understand operational needs and translate them into practical technology solutions.

You will serve as the primary point of contact between departments, Innovation and Technology staff, and vendors, helping ensure successful adoption of new tools and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in PM/coord/BA/IT in gov or public sector preferred.
• Experience in municipal government preferred.
• Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of MS 365, cloud, cybersecurity basics.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review processes and identify improvements via technology.
• Translate needs into requirements for IT staff, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate project plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, testing.
• Develop documentation, workflows, procedures, user guides, training materials.
• Support technology adoption through change communication and training.
