Job summary

The City of Lake Forest is seeking an Innovation Coordinator to support city-wide innovation, technology implementation, business process improvement, and organizational change initiatives. This full-time role works with City departments to understand needs, improve workflows, support technology adoption, and ensure software is used effectively to boost efficiency and service delivery.

The Coordinator serves as the primary contact between departments, Innovation and Technology staff, and vendors

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, public administration, or related field.
• 5+ years in project management, analysis, or tech implementation preferred.
• Experience in municipal/public sector and relevant certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Review processes, identify opportunities to improve operations via technology.
• Translate needs into clear business/technical requirements for IT staff and vendors.
• Coordinate projects from planning through implementation and rollout.
• Develop documentation, workflows, user guides, and training materials.
• Support user adoption through change communication and training.
