Job summary
Georgia-Pacific seeks an Innovation Industrial Design/Development Manager to identify high-value customer challenges in foodservice packaging and translate them into differentiated products. You will partner with sales, customers, and product development to drive rapid experimentation, speed to market, and measurable customer value.
Responsibilities include leading concept development, refining designs for performance and cost, and delivering projects on time.
Qualifications
- Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Product Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in packaging concept development
- Project management experience
- Ability to build relationships with customers and internal teams
- Experience with SolidWorks and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of plastics and sustainable materials
Responsibilities
- Create value for customers by identifying unmet needs and translating them into packaging concepts
- Lead the custom application development process from concept to handoff to product development
- Drive ownership by managing multiple projects with strong organization and prioritized execution
- Collaborate across Sales, R&D, Engineering, and Manufacturing to align stakeholders
