Job summary

The New Haven Free Public Library is seeking an innovative library professional to lead the integration of emerging technologies into library services, advancing digital literacy initiatives and community engagement in New Haven, Connecticut.

This senior role, based at the Ives Main Library, will plan, implement, and evaluate technology projects, collaborate with staff and partners, and develop staff training to expand access to information and creative learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Library Science (ALA-accredited).
• Minimum of three years of progressively responsible professional library experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate innovative technology initiatives and digital services.
• Lead or participate in technology projects e.g., digital collections, makerspaces, online resources.
• Develop training for staff and the public on digital tools and information literacy.
• Collaborate with staff, IT, and external partners to maintain technology infrastructure.
• Promote digital inclusion and equitable access to technology in the community.
