Job Description

Housed within the Office of Ambulatory Care, NYC Health + Hospitals Innovation Lab goals include:

  • To assist and empower clinical sites and central office in evaluating the efficacy of interventions (such as new programs, technologies, or operational changes) to improve access to and quality of Ambulatory Care
  • To amplify the work and learnings of innovations at NYC Health + Hospitals via dissemination of evaluation learnings inside and outside of the health system to promote a culture of improvement and learning and establish NYC Health + Hospitals as a leader in advancing health services delivery

General tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Support efforts to design and implement program evaluations within Ambulatory care, including:
    • Manage the submission process for evaluation service requests
    • Create and maintain project plans and statuses
    • Assist with project logistics and direct services such as IRB submission, data usage agreements, grant applications, and other tasks to facilitate project development/completion
    • Liaise and coordinate program activities within H+H and with potential external collaborators (academic institutions, foundations, community organizations, etc.)
  • Collect and circulate upcoming opportunities for dissemination of work, grant opportunities relevant to ambulatory care, and evaluation learnings and publications/presentations
  • Work with communications teams to widely disseminate key learnings in scholarly and lay settings and work with policy-facing teams to incorporate relevant materials into whitepapers, policy briefs, or other policy-influencing materials
  • Assist with other Innovation Lab directives as needed
Minimum Qualifications

1. Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Public Health, Psychology, Personnel Administration, Management or Public Administration, or a related approved discipline; and,
2. Five years of progressively responsible experience in planning and manpower development and training programs, medical or public health administration or other fields related to training, development and manpower analysis, of which at least two years must have been in a managerial, supervisory or administrative capacity related to the organization, formulation, development and implementation of such plans and programs: or,
3. A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Management, Social Work, Medical Administration, Psychology, Personnel Administration, Public Administration, or a related approved field with four years of experience as described in (2), and two years in a managerial, supervisory or administrative capacity; and,
4. Extensive knowledge of the principals of training and manpower development programs and ability to analyze and determine the needs of the Corporation; or,
5. A satisfactory combination of training, education and experience indicating the ability to perform satisfactorily.
Special Note: In addition to meeting the qualification requirements stated above, assignment to Level II requires evidence of advance study in relevant disciplines.

Department Preferences
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in project management and scientific research processes.
