Massachusetts Department of Transportation is seeking a Co-op for The Lab at MassDOT Innovation. The role supports 1–3 workstreams on active or exploratory prototypes, performing field research, analysis, and creating visuals to communicate findings.

In-person at 10 Park Plaza with remote Fridays, full-time 37.5 hours per week. Preferred candidates excel in Microsoft Suite, Airtable, Asana, Slack, and design software; strong communication and collaboration across cultures;

Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft Suite (including Sharepoint), Airtable, Asana, Slack.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong collaborator, with an ability to work with people of all cultures and backgrounds.
• Curiosity and ability to learn quickly.
• Native or fluent communicator in: Spanish, Portuguese, Vietnamese, or Haitian Creole.
• Proficient with design software (e.g. Adobe Suite).

Responsabilités

• Doing field research.
• Doing comparative analysis.
• Creating visual artifacts that support the efforts of the Lab.
• Engaging with community stakeholders.
• Writing or presenting about the work to internal and external audiences.
• Learning the functional tasks required to move a task forward (e.g., purchasing).
