Job summary

Mars is hiring a Senior Manager, Commercial & R&D Finance for its Chicago-based Accelerator team. The role partners with Commercial, Procurement, R&D and Supply Chain to translate cost data into business recommendations.

Expect to influence packaging, reformulations, and product launches while guiding financial strategy and cost controls. The position reports to the VP, Supply & R&D Finance and requires 8+ years in finance, MBA/CPA/CMA preferred, and SAP/Power BI proficiency.

Qualifications

8+ years of progressive finance experience.
Strong operations finance and cost management background.
Experience with standard costing, BOMs and purchase price variance.
Experience evaluating product pipelines and costing initiatives.
Proficiency in SAP or comparable ERP systems; Power BI experience.
MBA, CPA or CMA preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead material cost forecasting and performance analysis across Accelerator units.
Turn tariff and supply risks into actionable choices with stakeholders.
Shape innovation economics from pipeline to launch with cost models.
Bring cost-finance expertise to product decisions and trade-offs.
Guide reformulation, packaging and regulatory-compliant initiatives.
Ensure productivity savings are tracked and realized across Commercial & R&D.
Build financial processes and connect insights to business decisions.
