Job summary

Springs Window Fashions is seeking a Product Design Engineer III – Innovation to drive early-stage concept creation focused on machine elements, plastic parts, gears, and mechanisms for consumer products. The role requires strong mechanical fundamentals, hands-on creativity, and comfort with ambiguous, early-phase development.

You will work within the Innovation organization to translate unmet needs into manufacturable concepts, develop prototypes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of engineering experience in product design or development.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, ambiguity-rich environment.
• Experience translating customer needs into functional requirements and prototyping concepts.

Responsibilities

• Identify unmet consumer needs and opportunity areas through cross-functional collaboration.
• Create innovative mechanical concepts and architectures for machine elements and plastics.
• Develop 3D CAD models (SolidWorks) with tolerancing and DFMA.
• Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate tooling and cost tradeoffs.
• Prototype early concepts and assess performance, durability, manufacturability.
