Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Innovation and Design Engineer to develop high-performance physical distribution systems globally. You will lead design efforts, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive innovative material flow solutions across the fulfillment network.

The role requires strong project management, 3+ years in relevant engineering fields, and expertise in system architecture and safety, with a focus on scalable, cost-effective implementation.

Qualifications

• Experience in management of engineering design projects.
• 3+ years of Design/Innovation, research & development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related experience.
• Knowledge of system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making.
• Experience with design-in-safety and Lean principles.

Responsibilities

• Invent, design, and implement engineering solutions to complex material flow/transformation and human/machine efficiency problems across the global Amazon supply chain.
• Lead and coordinate design and innovation efforts to develop optimal solutions for the transportation network including equipment specification, material flow, process design, site layout, and IP considerations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high quality, cost effective solutions quickly.
• Manage multiple projects and negotiate with internal/external partners, contractors and vendors.
• Provide technical leadership for large-scale engineering projects.
