Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, ID seeks a Yield Technology Equipment Engineer Intern to study optical, x-ray, profile, and eBeam equipment used in memory solutions.

You will analyze data, detect defects, and work on inline and lab inspection tools to improve tool performance and efficiency. The internship runs from spring through summer, offering opportunities to collaborate across engineering disciplines and gain hands-on experience with next-generation semiconductor defect analysis

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering or related field. Current student; cannot graduate before Sept 2027.
• Internship focused on detecting problems and developing solutions with a CIP mindset.
• Experience or coursework showing data manipulation and root cause analysis.
• Interest in learning and applying AI agents, Claude Code, and LLMs to improve process efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Review experimental process flows for defect anomalies and quarantine out-of-control tools.
• Identify process anomalies and drive improvements with a proactive mindset.
• Use inline process signals to drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with process control, data science, yield analysis, and metrology teams.
• Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills through assigned projects.
