Job summary

Osceola County Government seeks a leader to supervise an Inmate Services unit, ensuring compliant operations, data accuracy, and program delivery within jail standards. You will coordinate with courts, Probation, and public defenders, supervise staff, and manage records and releases.

The role requires overseeing budgets, payroll, and performance, with attention to regulatory changes and interagency communication.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or related field.
• Experience: 3 years in Inmate Records, Bonds and Dockets, Inmate Programming, Inmate Classification, Probation, Pretrial Release, and/or Community Corrections, with at least 1 year supervisory.
• Equivalent education, training, and/or experience may be considered.
• Familiarity with FCIC/NCIC and court processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement unit goals and procedures.
• Supervise staff, schedule, train, and evaluate performance; administer discipline.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state rules and jail standards.
• Manage inmate processing, court data entry, and release approvals.
• Assist with budgets and payroll within department constraints.
• Coordinate with judiciary, law enforcement, and public defender offices.
