Job summary

Qualifications

• High School graduation or equivalent required.
• Six months of experience preferred.
• TCOLE Jailer certification preferred, or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Process inmates by completing searches, inventories, confiscating items, fingerprinting and photographing, and recording personal/medical information.
• Escort inmates from cells, assist with handcuffing and transportation as needed.
• Prepare and serve meals to inmates to ensure proper nutrition.
• Maintain inmate safety through checks, door control, surveillance, and population monitoring.
• Process paperwork and disseminate information; report incidents and testify when required.
