Job summary

GEO Corrections & Detentions seeks a Behavioral Health Technician-CoC to manage transition planning and post-release connections for inmates within one year of release. You will deliver cognitive behavioral treatment sessions and maintain detailed case records to support successful reintegration.

Responsibilities include coordinating resources, tracking progress, and collaborating with community providers to ensure eligible benefits are secured prior to release.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years experience in a correctional setting preferred.
• Must possess a valid Arizona Driver's License.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide transition case management services to inmates within the contract’s Continuum of Care.
• Record case management notes and track inmate progress.
• Develop transition plans and connect inmates with community resources prior to release.
• Conduct individual and group cognitive behavioral treatment sessions as needed.
• Compile statistical data for reporting purposes.
